The equestrian post office station in Radomysl was an important strategic object until the 1840-50s. The road from Zhytomyr to Kyiv went through Radomysl, so the number of people it served to was large. But  in the middle of the 19th century a new road through Kocheriv was built  and the number of travelers decreased.

It didn't make sense to keep such a board. Whenin 1883 a new post office was built on Malaya Zhytomyrska Street, the council building was sold in to private hands. It sowner was Yosya Sagalov. Before working in thee questrian administration Yosya traded alcohol  and decided to expand. He purchased several closed carriages that were "on their last legs" and of  "retire mentage." People paid lots of money for this transport (and in advance, because there were cases when carriages could just break down on their way). Therefore, they were hiredby citizen sat their own risk. In fine weather, thef are was 10-12 rubles, but when it was raining or snowing, prices rose to 15-20 rubles. The carriages were not very quick and people really worried whe ther the carriage would reach the goal. The trip to Kyiv lasted 18 hours, and sometimes even more than a day. There are also memories of drivers who worked in Radomysl. They usually stood on the Trade Square (Maidan Sobornyi) and loudly invited those who wanted to ride. They were called balagulas. There alstar was a coachman nicknamed Benchik. He was a real "treasure" of Jewish folklore. He called his horses "beasts" and boasted that hefed them so that their bellies were always full. With Benchik's light hand, reaching your destination, you listened to all known and unknown Jewish jokes. He was also a bit of a businessman and owned as many as 2 teams. Most passengers were taken to Irsha. The road was sandy and carts were often stuck, so traveler stook their belonging sand got on foot, although they paid at least 7-8 rubles for such a trip.
